Meet a greeter
Sep 24th, 2011 by admin
- A Greeter is a volunteer who loves the place they live in, are open to other cultures, of all ages and backgrounds, and give up some of their spare time to meet with you and show you round the town and the surrounding area free of charge.
- The greet can be done on foot, by bicycle or by public trsansport.
- Rhein Ahr Greeters share their personal anecdotes, stories, passions and love for the Rhine and Ahr region.
- These special meetings (greets) for smalle groups (1-6 persons) last for two to four hours. A greet is an exiciting way to experience the life, history, architecture, culture and nature of the region.
- Even locals can go on a greet and re-discover and treasure their own surroundings.
- During the time spent with a greeter, if you have to spend money (bus ticket, drinks in a café, etc…) each person pays for his expenses. The visitors don’t have to pay for the Greeter and vice versa.
- In order to meet a greeter you need to fill in an online form a few days prior to your desired greet, which can be found on the page Book your Greet and send it back to us. Your greeter will set up the time and place of your meeting and get back to you email.
- Greeters do not replace official tourist guides. They supplement them.
- Go to the page Book your Greet and let us know what you would like.
